Abstract

The line of approach of this article is empathy. It presents theoretical considerations about the meaning of empathy in teacher´s work and results of personal research concerning levels of empa-thy of students of teaching careers. The research have been conducted among 206 students with the use of Empathy Questionnaire of Węgliński. The results obtained indicate the need for devel-oping empathy among students who begin their teaching careers.
