Abstract

Article presents main problems connected with enterprise innovativeness measurement. Especially it concentrates on ratios selection and their assessment leading to formulation of the aggregative assessment of company innovativeness. Discussion about specific problems associated with the use of different metrics like expenditure for research and development, number of patents, revenues from new products, return on investment from innovation was concluded in the first part of this article. Article also contains general rules of enterprise innovativeness measurement and describes metrics, which companies tend to use and how it is connected with their strategy in the aspect of concentration on shareholder value or innovation. Different solutions in the area of aggregative assessment of the company innovativeness presentation were concluded in the second part of the article. In the end of the article, it was stressed that innovativeness measurement plays important role in the innovation management.
