Abstract

Not so long ago the innovation in the European economy could be seen as a paradigm of the social change (like trust or entrepreneurship). Now it is among the most popular concepts not only in the sphere of the so called economic sciences but in the sociology, antrophology and psychology as well. The author refers to it as to the lost paradigm of change and argues whether the phenomenon of the innovation in Poland is a result of the education system, global effects of the Internet or the cultural context.
