Ecological potato culture as a refuge of ground beetles (Col., carabidae)

Abstract

As a result of observations in the researched cultivation 1202 ground beetles from 20 species were found. Within the catch the most numerous were Poecilus cupreus (367 individuals) and Harpalus rufipes (467 individuals). Besides, some rare and protected species were observed, including Pterostichus ovoideus and Carabus granulatus.
