State of the atmosphere around the „Organika-Sarzyna” S.A. chemical plant
Keywords:
air pollutants, nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide, dustAbstract
The atmospheric air, apart from its main components, contains numerous trace substances, which originate both from natural processes and human activity. The main air pollutants which endanger the environment and health, are nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide and dust. As a result of the Chemical Plant’s „Organika-Sarzyna” S.A. activity some air pollutants may permeate the atmosphere, however owing to the firm’s large-scale pro-environmental policy the level of air pollution around the company’s establisment is much lower than is required by law.
