Sections
General information relating to all sections of the journal:
Original and previously unpublished articles are accepted for publication:
- thematically related to the profile of the journal,
- making a significant contribution to the development of Polish and/or world research on sacred art,
- sent exclusively to the editors of "Sacrum et Decorum"
- edited in accordance with the rules of publishing ethics and bibliographic notation
The journal is divided into the following sections:
'Studies' - in which we include original and nowhere published peer-reviewed articles preceded by an unedited introductory text to the volume as a whole. The text should be up to 60 thousand characters with spaces, in exceptional cases - with prior agreement with the editorial team - it is permissible to increase the number of characters.
'Materials' - in this section we publish original peer-reviewed texts, the value of which lies primarily in the presentation of a new research problem. The text should be between 20,000 and 50,000 characters with spaces.
'Miscellanea'- are a series of essays by artists on their own sacred work. Each volume presents the views of one artist from Poland or abroad. The text should contain from 10 thousand to 20 thousand characters with spaces.
The periodical also publishes reports, reviews, other source material and memoirs from the In memoriam series. We also post information about books and artistic events, such as: exhibitions, conferences. Texts of this kind should be between 5,000 and 10,000 characters with spaces.
