This study outlines the latest stage of reform of two economic institutions: the Office of Supervision and Financial Information and the Institute for Religious Works. The reform was initiated in 2013 by Pope Francis, who primarily emphasized the need to increase transparency in the activities of financial institutions in the Holy See and the Vatican City State. Regarding the Office, on December 5, 2020, Pope Francis changed the name of the former Office of Financial Information to the Office of Supervision and Financial Information and approved a new statute. The entity supervised by the Office of Supervision and Financial Information is the Institute for Religious Works, whose statute was approved by Pope Francis on January 30, 2023. The conclusions from the conducted research indicate that the reform’s goals have been achieved.
