Abstract

Priest Janusz Stanisław Pasierb wrote about beauty, love and goodness. His life was also filled with these values. Nature, art and broadly understood culture provided Pasierb with the opportunity to establish relationships with the sacrum. In his poetic works, he constantly turns to the sacrum and praises the beauty of the surrounding existence, often referring to biblical motifs. Beauty is close to experience, the experience of the sacrum. God is also Beauty and it is in this narrowing that the poet’s commitment is manifested. It is a poetry of experiencing the sacrum, a poetry in which we can meet our neighbour. The author offers the reader reflection, meditation and affirmation in order to fully understand the meaning of existence. He trusts in God and his mercy. He appreciates art which, although the work of human hands, is the result of God’s intervention.
