The article is about the development of Polish science at the turn of the 19th and 20th century in Poland during its partition done by Russia, Prussia and Austria. The partition was not onlythe sourse of difficulties in everyday life for the then Poles but it could also slow down or even prevent the civilization progressof our country, what we can learn from many Polish and foreign text books. Despite all of these unfavourable geopolitical conditions, created mostly by by the governments of the occupant countries, development of Polish science, and also Polish philosophy, took place. The progress is presented by the example of the neoscholastics' revival, which was represented by P. Semenenko, S. Pawlicki, F. Gabryl, M. Morawski, F. Krupiński and others. In light of their philosophical views present theories connected with ethics, philosophy and sociology were formulated.
