Authority Figures in the Life of Contemporary Youth

Abstract

The multitude of threats to the development of children and young people in the modern world is a source of many crises. A particular challenge in today’s world is the deepening decline of authority figures. At the same time, this process is being accompanied by the generation of many idols and celebrities in public life, who have a significant impact on the formation of the personality of young people. It is worth noting that, unfortunately, quite often they unreasonably aspire to the role of authorities and interpreters of reality. The paper is an attempt to draw attention to the problem of authority figures in the lives of today’s youngsters.
