Abstract

The aim of this article is to show rights and duties of teacher of different types of schools, that were functioning in The Second Republic of Poland. The teacher pragmatics wa written down in normative acts – legal acts and ministerial regulations in the interwar period. To collect information it was used a method of historical-critical analysis of sources and auxiliary – analysis of the press content targeted at teachers. The attained material was submitted to qualitative analysis. Teachers to fulfill their duties properly, should be prepared to them adequately and should have sense of professional stabilization. After regaining independence the social-economic situation of the state was difficult. In order to improve it the unification of the school system and rising the level of teaching was necessary at all types of schools. The education authorities came before task to choose adequately prepared teachers and specify requirements for them. In the interwar period these requirements ware being changed to some extent. They got analyzed in this article.
