On teaching a foreign (english) language as a global one

Abstract

This article discusses some of the major issues related to the so-called. global language, at the same time making an attempt to describe this phenomenon, among others, from the point of view of the currently existing knowledge of foreign language teaching. In its subsequent part the article presents selected global language teaching techniques with particular emphasis on those that stress its functionality. The article points out that there is no possibility to master the target language without previously student entailing developed principles of mutual cooperation.
