The work treats negatively-valued aggressive human behaviour towards the dog. The descriptions of the acts of human aggression towards the four-legged excerpted from mass media and non-verbal offences against dog victims are analysed. The elements of human aggression against animals were determined on the basis of interactive-communicative analysis of the acts of aggression. They are the basic semantic components of imaging, such as: sender aggressor, recipient victim, place, time, cause, intention (purpose), action/behaviour, effect. The method of communicative pragmatics adopted in the study allows us to present the phenomenon of aggression in social categories and treat the dog as a participant in the act of communication.
