Abstract

This paper evaluates the emanation of good governance assumptions in the activities of provincial committees for the adjudication of medical events. The aspects related to submission of an application for establishing a medical incident, appointment of members of provincial committees for adjudicating on medical events and competences of the commission were presented and assessed in the paper in the context of the above concept. The paper also contains the analysis and evaluation of the official acknowledgement of submission provisions concerning judgments by provincial committees for the adjudication of medical events. In the conclusion, it was emphasized that the provincial commission for adjudication about medical incidents is in part an example of emanation of the assumptions of the concept of good governance and attention was drawn to the necessity to clarify the provisions of the official acknowledgement of submission by the legislator to ensure the real, quick and effective possibility of using out-of-court redress by patients.
