Peer Review Process

Review procedures

  1. Every submitted publication is subject to review.
  2. A review of each publication is performer by two anonimous independent reviewers outside the unit.
  3. The foreign publication review is performed by at least one foreign reviewer from the reviewer`s list.
  4. The review is done on a provided form which is available on the website.
  5. Editors do not disclose the reviewers`names of the individual publication.
  6. In addition, each numer of the journal is subject to one common to a given issue of the review.
  7. The form of the review includes the reviewer`s statement about no conflicts of interests.

Confidentiality

Materials submitted for review are confidential.

Reviewers must not upload the manuscript, in whole or in part, to publicly available generative artificial intelligence tools if doing so could result in the disclosure of its content to third parties or its use for training AI models.

Use of AI in the Review Process

Reviewers should not use AI tools to:

  • prepare a complete review in place of their own independent assessment;
  • formulate the final recommendation regarding publication;
  • analyse confidential data contained in the manuscript using tools that do not guarantee confidentiality.

AI tools may be used for the limited purpose of improving the language of the reviewer’s own report or organising its structure, provided that:

  • no manuscript content is disclosed;
  • the assessment remains entirely the reviewer’s own work.

The reviewer bears full responsibility for the content of the review.
