This article explores the presence of the sacred in the work of Father Janusz Artur Ihnatowicz. The author is a poet of faith, but also of sacred experience. His poems are filled with concentration, having moved away from complex and stylized forms. He creates a world full of goodness, yet doomed to transience. Although time holds a special place in this poetry, beyond the description of transience, we encounter a belief in the meaning of human life and existence according to God’s plan—the fulfilled sacrifice of the Son of God on the cross. This work can be subjected to a kerygmatic literary interpretation, as it concerns the experience of Christian faith.
