Awareness of the Health Effects of Using the Internet According to the Generation of the Network

Abstract

Nowadays, the internet, after family and school, have become one of the most important educational and educational environments, but also a very popular communication tool. Young people spend many hours a day with their phone in their hands or in front of a computer screen. Health effects are increasingly mentioned among the negative effects of media abuse. Therefore, the primary objective of this article was to learn about the awareness of young people about their health problems, which despite their young age they feel after prolonged use of the media. The research was conducted in 2018 among 250 students attending secondary schools in Podkarpackie and Małopolskie Voivodeships. The tool used in the survey was the questionnaire „My Internet Activities” by Styśko-Kunkowska and Wąsowicz.
