Happiness is an important dimension of human functioning, and thus plays a significant role in the work of the teacher. Research indicates that happy teachers affect the level of happiness of their students and, consequently, their achievement (Bakker, 2005). The aim of the article was to find conditions for the level of happiness and its relation to social competences and general self-efficacy. Teachers from Podkarpackie were examined with the following tools: Oxford Happiness Questionnaire by Argyle and Hills, PROKOS by Matczak and Martowska and GSES Scale by Schwarzer and Jerusalem. The analysis of the results indicated a positive, significant relation between social competences and the level of happiness, and the mediating role of self-efficacy among these variables.Downloads
