The concepts of “network children” and “digital natives” are now widely known and used. Their creators have been hypothesizing that the brains of children who have grown up in the world of new technologies have functioned differently than their peers, who have had limited contact with the TV or computer. The development of modern brain research techniques has helped confirm these as-sumptions. This article aims to present selected studies documenting the fact that contact with the media has a real impact on the brain's structure, and thus on its functioning. These are important information especially for young children teachers. Contemporary research indicates that full digitiza-tion of kindergarten and early school education can be very harmful for small pupils.Downloads
