Parent Council – formal and informal education of pupils

Modern educational system extends its boundaries beyond school, seen as a formal entity responsible for educational processes of young generation. Children and youths also acquire knowledge and develop their skills in, in its broadest sense, non-scholar environment, full of qualitatively different educational stimuli. Such a situation forces school to demonopolise education and un-certificate abilities in favour of satisfying needs and developing students’ didactic ambitions on the basis of educational partnership. Naturally, teachers are supported in their attempts to balance scholar and non-scholar educational impact by parental community, especially by their representative form, which is parent council. Parental organs in school can naturally initiate environmental operations, taking into account students’ extra-scholar experience in school’s work, as well as to include entities functioning in the closest environment into schools’ educational and upbringing processes.
