Generative AI Policies
The editorial board of the journal “Culture - Changes - Education” will not publish articles in which generative artificial intelligence tools were used to create the text. An exception is made for their justified use in generating text fragments or collecting and analyzing data. Such activities must be verified by the authors, who assume full responsibility for them. In such cases, the author(s) of the article are required to inform the editorial board of this fact during the manuscript submission process by disclosing it and describing the scope of such tool’s use. This must be done via the appropriate “Note to the Editor” in the Open Journal System. Information regarding the use of AI tools will be indicated in the published article.
Furthermore, the Editorial Board of the journal “Culture - Changes - Education”:
- Does not permit the use of generative AI tools or AI-assisted tools to create or modify images or illustrations submitted with articles.
- Permits the use of AI to improve the quality of the text (checking grammar and spelling). In such cases, there is no need to inform the editorial board.
- It does not permit journal editors and reviewers to process submitted texts using generative AI tools, as this may violate authors’ confidential data or intellectual property rights.
- Reviewers are not permitted to use AI tools to prepare reviews of submitted articles.
- The editorial board may verify information provided by authors regarding the use of AI by employing tools designed to detect such use (the iThenticate system).
The editorial board of the journal “Culture - Changes - Education” requires authors, reviewers, and editors to comply with the above rules. Any violation of these rules will result in the rejection of the article or review, or the removal of a member of the editorial team from the editorial board.
