Abstract

The problem of a higher education teacher’s personality development in the context of her/ his professional activity is becoming more and more urgent in today’s society. The considerable amount of computer aids, the extension of distance learning and the establishment of virtual educational spaces in many education institutions require the increased attention in order not to lose the live communication between students and teachers. Thus, the teacher must be a versatile personality. The integrity of personality development is the major principle of the teachers’ formation, harmonizing all aspects of their activity. Considering such circumstances, it is logical to create a complex characteristic of a teacher of higher education institution as a practitioner, a scholar and a researcher in the field of the educational institution specialization. We think that the preparedness for professional activity as a system characterized by appropriate coefficients, complex consideration of which allows obtaining reliable information about the real level of teacher’s work. The numeric characteristics of the personality component are the coefficients that play an important role in comparing the results of the functioning of the departments and other structural units of higher education institutions. Therefore, the relevant education contributes to the teacher’s potential opportunities development.
