Etics of publication

The code of ethics implemented by the editorial board of the journal “Culture - Changes - Education” is consistent with the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).  They form the basis of the journal’s ethical policy, which aims to ensure transparency in the publication process, clarify the responsibilities of authors, reviewers, and editors, and uphold the integrity of the scholarly work published in the journal.

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the research results presented, their analysis and interpretation, as well as for integrity and compliance with the standards of scholarly work. Submitted manuscripts must be original and should include properly cited and clearly specified data sources, citations, and bibliographic references. Authors are required to disclose sources of funding, potential conflicts of interest, as well as any use of AI tools. The policy related to the use of generative artificial intelligence is available in the “Generative AI Policies” tab.

It is unacceptable to submit manuscripts that show signs of plagiarism or self-plagiarism, or that in any way infringe upon the intellectual property rights of third parties. The anti-plagiarism procedure used in the journal is available in the “Anti-plagiarism procedure” tab.

It is unacceptable to submit manuscripts in which practices such as ghostwriting, guest authorship, or honorary authorship have been used, or in which individuals who made a significant contribution to the development of the article have been omitted. In cases where submitted manuscripts are based on research involving human subjects, authors are required to adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality, and the protection of personal data. If the research so requires, authors should include information in their submissions regarding approval from the appropriate ethics committee or institution.

Reviewers are responsible for preparing reviews that are reliable, substantive, and impartial. Reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of the review process and to inform the Editorial Board of any suspected plagiarism, self-plagiarism, potential conflicts of interest, research misconduct, or any violations of publication ethics and scientific conduct. The responsibility of the Editorial Board and its individual members is to ensure the transparency and independence of the publishing process. The acceptance or rejection of articles is based on their alignment with the journal’s scope, the authors’ adherence to principles of scientific integrity and ethical standards, and the peer-review procedure.

The Publisher’s responsibility is to support the Editorial Board in ensuring the transparency and integrity of the entire publication process, the accessibility of current and archived content, and compliance with ethical and legal standards.
