Energy policy and climate protection in the European Union in the programs of German political parties for the European Parliament elections in 2024

The aim of paper is to analyze the election programs for the 2024 European Parliament elections in the areas of the European Union's energy and climate protection policy of the main political parties in Germany, i.e. those represented in the 20th Bundestag: CDU and CSU, Alliance '90/The Greens, SPD, Alternative for Germany (AfD), the Left, FDP and the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW). The author, presenting the positions and electoral demands of political parties, seeks answers to questions about the place of these two thematic areas in the election programs, references to challenges in the area of the EU energy policy and climate protection, especially the European Green Deal, and plans for slight modifications or complete changes in the EU energy policy and climate protection.
