The impact of urban centers on creating integration relations in agribusiness

Abstract

The aim of this study was to assess the impact of an urban center on the creation of integration links between agriculture and the food industry. The issues raised, taking into account the cited source base, were supported by the results of research conducted in 2022 among 450 randomly selected agricultural producers and representatives of 126 processing companies operating in the Podkarpackie Province. The following sections present the impact of an urban center on the multilateral development of rural areas, as well as the possibilities and importance of these mutual relations. Then, strategic factors and dependencies influencing the development of integration links were presented based on the results of research conducted among agricultural producers and representatives of processing companies. The conclusions may be helpful in verifying the thesis that urban centers play an important role by influencing the integration processes taking place in agribusiness.
