The article presents the research results, which assessed the coherence of actions taken towards third-country nationals within the framework of EU migration policy and EU equality and anti-discrimination policy. The analyses aimed to answer the question of whether there is coherence in the case of the mentioned policies, to what extent, and what it consists of. Qualitative content analysis was the primary method used in this study. Current EU directives and regulations adopted in 2000-24, counted among the core of the acquis of the two policies, were research material. Research has shown a wide range of different degrees of coherence in the policies studied. Incoherence occurs at the level of implementation practices, while synergy happens with instruments. Besides, coherence takes on a different character (parallel existence, overlapping, complementary, reinforcing) depending on the aspect of the interaction of the two policies.
