Abstract

The article describes the results of preliminary research on how residents of the Podkarpackie province perceive security in the region in which they live, due to the proximity of the border with Ukraine and the role of the province in the process of receiving refugees and various forms of assistance provided to Ukraine by the international community. As a result of analytical and descriptive methods, key concepts have been identified and categorised. A systemic analysis of the impact of refugee migration and armed activities in Ukraine was also carried out, on the activities of public administration in Poland. The research also used the method of diagnostic survey using a survey technique based on a questionnaire of the survey. Empirical studies were carried out between 10 March and 6 May 2024 and included a sample of 627 inhabitants of the Podkarpackie province.
