The issue of introducing limitations in the terms of office of the village mayor, the town mayor and the municipal president, has for many years been functioning in Polish commentary, doctrine, and in parliamentary work as well. The object of this article is to bring previous works on the implementation of said limitations into the Polish legal order together, and furthermore, to indicate such legal resolutions which are in force in other countries.
