Abstract

The aim of the article was to describe the political evolution of the Second Republic in the context of the changes in the system of constitutional principles that occurred during the work on the amendment of the March Constitution after 1926. For this purpose, the text was divided into two parts. The first presents the genesis and typology of the constitutional principles of the Polish state developed at the threshold of independence and also discusses the classification of the fundamental laws of states and their reception in Polish political and legal thought in the first half of the 20th century. The second part of the text presents the main directions of the evolution of political system change in the interwar period.
