The National Plan for Integration was announced in 2010. This is the first project of this type, which was to initiate permanent, comprehensive and monitored cooperation for the integration of immigrants in Austria. The research objective of the article was to verify whether the expectations related to NAPI were met. For the purposes of the analysis, a hypothesis was formulated that the implementation of the program contributed to the improvement of the situation of immigrants living in Austria. In its verification, the method of comparative analysis was useful, which was used to diagnose the situation in the first years of the Plan's application, as well as after more than a decade of its application.
