Abstract
This article analyses the attitude of independence parties in Catalonia towards Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, using content analysis and a comparative method. The hypothesis was verified that: the independent political groups present in the Catalan parliament from 2021 will develop a common position towards the armed conflict in Eastern Europe. The analysis and synthesis of the sources leads to the conclusion that the political parties studied have only reached partial agreement in formulating a common approach on the issue, resulting in some repercussions. The added value of the article is that it attempts to objectively assess the current state and cohesion of political groups within the independence movement in Catalonia, in the context of the conflict in Ukraine. This provides a basis for future research on the development and cohesion of regional independence.
