Counteracting air pollution in the event of an energy crisis on the example of selected cities

Abstract

Counteracting air pollution is a current, very important and complex issue in the situation of the energy crisis. For effective air protection in selected cities, it is very important to implement appropriate measures by the local government. The aim of the article is to show the actions taken by the local government in three selected cities (Kraków, Katowice, Łódź) in the field of counteracting air pollution in the event of an energy crisis. The considerations were based on the analysis of documents, published information, reports and data of the European Environment Agency, the Central Statistical Office and local government.
