Due to projects financed by EU cross-border cooperation programs, development processes in regions along the external and internal borders of the European Union are supported. The purpose of the study is to analyze the regulation of human rights, the importance attributed to them and the directions of support in two cross-border cooperation programs, i.e. Poland-Slovakia and Poland-Ukraine in the financial perspective 2021-2027, after the Russian aggression against Ukraine. The analysis of legal acts, program documents, guidelines for applicants and beneficiaries showed that certainly the protection of human rights and freedoms occupies an important place. States participating in the implementation of programs are obliged to consider and promote human rights throughout the process of preparation, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of programs.
