State border protection system and the situation on the polish-belarusian border - outline of issues

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to indicate how changes in legislation, introduced in connection with the triggered migration crisis, have affected the shape of the state border protection system. In addition, based on the statistics of the Border Guard, an attempt will be made to answer the question of whether the protection of the state border after the changes made is effective. As a thesis, it was assumed that the need to protect the integrity of the state border forced the introduction of a number of changes to the Polish legal order related to the protection of the state border. The research was conducted based on the formal-dogmatic method and a critical analysis of the literature, as well as using statistical data made available on the Border Guard website.
