Abstract

The purpose of the study is to present solutions within the active labor market policy addressed to young people and their implementation by public employment services in the context of the situation of these people on the labor market. Due to than the demographic and still decreasing number of young people entering the labor market, it would seem that their situation in this market is improving. The Act on employment promotion and labor market institutions, however, still includes this category as people in a special situation on the labor market and therefore they can use a wider range of active labor market programs. Young people entering the labor market must meet the challenges related to the increasing requirements of employers in the absence or relatively low professional experience. In this context, the activities of the state aimed at programs supporting the entrance and persistence of this category of social life are important. The article reviews active forms of support dedicated to young people entering the labor market and analyzed the solutions used against the background of the situation of these people on the labor market. The research problem is therefore to answer the question whether the support methods used by public employment services towards young people eliminate basic barriers that make it difficult to enter the labor market. The research methods used are literature studies, analysis of normative documents, comparative method and analysis of existing data.
