Abstract

The objective of this article is to present the impact of external actors on the security of the electoral process. The central thesis of the article posits that, in the contemporary era, cyberspace has enabled external actors to intensify their efforts in influencing the electoral process of sovereign states. This study employs various research methods, including source analysis and criticism, literature analysis and criticism, the comparative method, and case studies. Cyberspace is pivotal in the electoral process, and in light of transnational threats, it is imperative to enhance public awareness on this issue, strengthen state cybersecurity measures, and promote international cooperation, such as information exchange, joint exercises, and coordinated activities. Securing the electoral process necessitates a comprehensive approach that encompasses technical, technological, legal, institutional, and social dimensions.
