Abstract

The dynamic development of modern technologies makes it increasingly difficult to identify areas of human activity that are deprived of the possibility of using them. The reality around us is marked by the presence of digital media, including communication media, such as the Internet or mobile phone. These media certainly make everyday functioning much easier, but they also generate many problems. The article is an attempt to indicate the threats related to the inappropriate use of the Internet (network addiction) and mobile phones (phone addiction). Thanks to the conducted research, it was possible to recognize the scale of these phenomen, determine the symptoms and consequences of addictive Internet use, and indicate preventive actions.
