Abstract

The aim of the article is to analyze the mechanisms and significance of the institutionalization of social innovations in Poland. The research problem focuses on how innovations can transition from the conceptual phase to an institutional form, achieving durability and stability within social structures. The article is based on the democratic paradigm of social innovation, emphasizing participation, inclusivity, and cross-sector collaboration in the creation and implementation of new social solutions. The analysis also incorporates a neo-institutional perspective, which helps understand that the process of institutionalizing innovations influences the embedding of novel solutions, thereby supporting long-term actions, systemic change, and, ultimately, social development. A case study was conducted on the Center for Inclusive Art/Theater 21, an institution dedicated to the creative work of individuals with disabilities, aimed at promoting diversity and social inclusivity. The research methodology includes literature review and observation of the examined institution's activities.
