Abstrakt

The Constitution of the Republic of Poland sets out the framework for the Presidential Chancellery as an auxiliary body. The question arises as to whether the practice of regulating the body serving the head of state exists in other constitutions, or whether Poland's case is unique. It is assumed that such regulation is unnecessary and that the inclusion of provisions concerning the Presidential Chancellery in constitutions is extremely rare. The answer to the question requires identifying a representative group of countries that will allow for reliable conclusions to be drawn.  Initially, the analysis covered all European Union member states. During the course of the research, it was decided to extend its scope to include other selected countries, such as post‑Soviet states. The comparative method was applied. The study was conducted on the basis of legal sources, selected fundamental laws, as well as Polish and foreign literature in the field of legal sciences.
