Religious experience through art

The article proposes a general reflection on religious experience whose aim is to show that the latter is open to art; its other objective is to define what precisely expresses its specificity. Issues relating to sensual experience, the integrality of the religious experience, the meditative function of image in the Christian religious experience have been analyzed. The text also raises the issue of the difference in the experience of man and woman as regards the sphere of religion and art which is associated with it.Downloads
