Preliminary review

The editorial board of the Sacrum et Decorum annual confirms receipt of the submitted manuscript within seven days of its receipt.

Each article is subject to internal review by the editor-in-chief of the annual.

The editor-in-chief may reject an article without reviewing it if she considers that it does not correspond to the profile of the journal or the formal, substantive, and/or ethical standards set by the editorial board.

The author of a rejected manuscript will be notified immediately, no later than 14 days from the date of submission of the text to the editorial office.

Texts that correspond to the subject matter of the journal and meet scientific and editorial criteria are sent by the editorial board to external reviewers.

Articles that meet formal requirements but require supplementation due to editorial deficiencies will be returned to the authors for correction and resubmission.

In the event of a violation of publishing rules, publishing ethics, or problems with scientific content, an article may be rejected even if it has been initially accepted for publication.
