The article presents the results of research of the Internet and especially social media, concerning the manipulation of information, influencing decision-making and the propagation of untruthful and socially harmful content. Describes how online bots and trolls, and their hybrid connections are used to deliberately shape social discourse. The next discussed problem is very easy and quick spreading untruth in the form of propagating fake news on the Internet. Human factor plays a very important role in this proceder. Considering the inseparable embedding of modern education – understood as a permanent and lifelong process – in ICT, it underlines the importance of shaping conscious and responsible attitudes of all participants in this process towards new technologies.Downloads
