Media generated reality – from technical means of educating to media pedagogy

Abstract

Dynamic development of electronic media, especially interactive multimedia, their continuously increasing influence on their audience causes the necessity to prepare the society for rational and effective use of these means in all aspects – informative, educational, functional and entertaining. It is a great challenge for all pedagogy sciences, especially pedagogics and media education. At present, media generated reality makes young generation reach for these means eagerly and treat them as a source of i formation and news. The technical means of education discussed in the educational media, remediation process and media pedagogy are the areas that were particularly important to the deceased Antoni Zając, Ph.D. whom we remember fondly. He is on the other side... yet forever in our hearts!
