Abstract

This paper presents the basis of sustainable development of rural areas. Waste management is one of the tools for implementing the idea of sustainable development. Large quantity of waste is a problem that occurs in numerous rural areas. Technological development in utilization and waste disposal should be associated with an increase of environmental awareness and society involvement in the correct waste management. A design of leaflets was proposed to raise the ecological awareness of the entrepreneurs involved in the organic food industry.
