The systems of waste management in rural community

Abstract

The subject of waste management is still neglected and treated as not important. The article presents legal basis for waste management in the country and in the community. The system of municipal waste management in a rural community on the example of Lubartów community has been characterized. Special attention has been paid to mass of wastes produced, both mixed and segregated. There have been proposed several measures targeted at prevention of waste generation, at minimizing the mass of wastes produced, and at the mitigation of their negative impact on the environment.
