Abstract

Upbringing is the crucial part of our life and no matter how much we realize that, we are all members of educational process. The way we are educated, determines our attitudes, our behavior in certain situations and also our ways of communication with others. Janusz Korczak has put great emphasis on upbringing, writing: “upbringing of a child is not a nice game, but an effort of sleepless nights, challenging experience capital and a lot of thoughts”. Conscious upbringing creates better chances of development for the alumni. Challenge is to find mechanisms of action which are working well, in order to make educational process effective and to contribute correct deamenors of children and youth. It is connected with subjective treatment of children, full of empathy, becoming an authority for them, showing them respect and accepting them as a person. For effective education it is also important to continuously getting to know a child- their needs, abilities, talents and weaknesses.
