About the Journal
Studies in Politics and Society [Polityka i Społeczeństwo] ISSN 1732-9639 – abb. POLISPOL – is an interdisciplinary scientific journal located in the area of social sciences. In total, between 2004 and 2012, ten volumes of the journal were edited in which papers were published both in Polish and English (in parallel versions). Starting from 2013, the journal has been transformed into a quarterly and papers are accepted for publishing in either Polish or English. The journal has been established by academic staff of the Department of Political Science at the University of Rzeszów. It is published by Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego [The University of Rzeszów’s Publishing House].
Studies in Politics and Society accepts for publishing previously unpublished academic papers, in particular articles presenting Authors’ original research, as well as essays, polemical interventions, reviews, communiques and reports concerning academic events. The texts shall be submitted by submission form (button "Make SUBMISSION").
The journal maintains high professional standards. Its Advisory Board includes both Polish and foreign Members. Each paper proposed for publishing is reviewed by two external, anonymous reviewers. The Editors combat ghostwriting and guest authorship.
Placing publication in the journal is free for authors. The costs of issuing the quarterly are covered by the Institute of Political Science of the University of Rzeszow.
POLISPOL is on the list of academic journals issued by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland (Communication of 31 July 2019 on the list of scientific journals with the number of points awarded for publication in these journals).
