In search of methodological approach towards Ukrainian refugees in Poland after 2022. A migration studies’ perspective

Abstract

The article offers a brief overview of selected theories and methodological concepts within the migration studies’ research field in order to determine if they could be useful for analyzing an influx of Ukrainian refugees to Poland after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The author reflects on which classical nad modern migration studies’ ideas could provide a fruitful reference point or at least an inspiration for defining Ukrainian refugees’ experiences. He proposes an „ecumenic” approach, including a variety of analitical levels and as versatile aspects of refugees’ background as possible.
