Contemporary terrorism is a threat that significantly threatens the EU. It has long ceased to be perceived as a regional problem and has become a global phenomenon occurring in all regions of the world. For several decades, Europe has been taking a number of actions to combat terrorism. These methods, just like the phenomenon itself, evolve and change depending on complex conditions. Despite these efforts, terrorism is still a problem that destabilizes world order and spreads fear and terror, and the terrorists themselves, using modern battlefield means and acting in an asymmetric form, are able to carry out effective and efficient attacks.
