The text presents selected statements by the leaders of right-wing groups regarding threats to Poland's sovereignty in the context of EU membership and an attempt is made to answer questions about the intentions of their authors (expected functions of this message) and the effects they have in society's consciousness, which can be determined on the basis of about the results of public opinion polls. In response to the first of these questions, it was stated that the main function was to reduce society's support for EU membership (apart from attacking political opponents or building one's own identity), and as far as the answer to the second question is concerned, it was stated that these statements were of little effectiveness.
